Summer is just around the corner, and what could be better than treating yourself to a refreshing iced coffee on a sunny day? The good news is that you do not even have to leave the house to enjoy this delicious drink. With our simple recipe, you can make a tasty iced coffee in no time, perfect for cooling down on hot days.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of freshly brewed coffee (brewed strong)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, or to taste (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of milk or a milk alternative (e.g. almond, soya or oat milk)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional, to garnish)
  • Chocolate syrup or cocoa powder (optional, to garnish)

Method

  1. First, brew a cup of coffee to your taste. You can use regular coffee or choose espresso for a stronger flavour. Then let the coffee cool or put it in the fridge for a few minutes so it is not too hot for the ice.
  2. If you would like to add sugar to your iced coffee, stir it into the warm coffee until completely dissolved. This is optional, depending on your personal taste.
  3. Pour the cooled coffee over ice cubes in a large glass or cup.
  4. Add the milk or milk alternative and stir well to combine the ingredients.
  5. If you like, garnish your iced coffee with whipped cream. Add a generous swirl of cream on top of the coffee.
  6. As a final option, drizzle some chocolate syrup or sprinkle cocoa powder over the cream to add extra sweetness to your iced coffee.
  7. Your iced coffee is now ready! Give it another stir before enjoying it.

This recipe is flexible and can be adapted as you like. Experiment with different milks, sweeteners and toppings to create your perfect iced coffee. Whether you enjoy it classic or add a dash of vanilla extract or liqueur, the possibilities are endless.

So grab a cup, mix your own refreshing iced coffee and treat yourself to the taste of summer!
